Dr. Sacco earned her Bachelor’s degree from Villanova University in 1996 and a masters degree in clinical psychology from Fairfield University in 1998. She earned her Doctor of Psychology degree from the Graduate Institute of Professional Psychology (GIPP) at the University of Hartford in 2002. Dr. Sacco subsequently completed her internship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center, West Haven, CT, in clinical neuropsychology, as well as a two-year post-doctoral fellowship at the Yale School of Medicine in the Department of Psychiatry. Following the completion of her fellowship Dr. Sacco remained as a faculty member at the Yale School of Medicine in a clinical research and supervisory role studying the role of the nAChR receptor on various cognitive functions, specifically attentional and prefrontal executive systems. Dr. Sacco has numerous publications in this area of study.
Dr. Sacco now engages in full-time clinical practice, and acts as a consulting neuropsychologist to The Stamford Hospital. Dr. Sacco has also taught at Fairfield University in the Department of Psychology and been a consultant to the Nevada Cancer Institute.
